Level of Difficulty: Hiking along the old road and the gravel road is easy. Hiking down to the hollow is moderate for awhile but the hills are more steeper once you are down in the hollow and can be strenuous. Hiking in the hollow is moderate at times and strenuous when you have to climb over, under or go around downed tree's. The hills to get above both Curvature Bluff falls can be strenuous. You have to go up hill and then down into the drainage and then vice versa to get back to the main hollow. The hills you must go up at first to cut over to the drainage are steep and strenuous and then the hills up higher become more gradual. Hiking up the drainage is moderate until you reach waterfall 13 and then the hills become steeper. They are steep during the last part of hiking in the drainage. After working your way up the steeper hills at first to get to the old road, the upper hills become more gradual.
Hiking Statistics of Loop: 4.27 miles / Ascent is 993 feet and Descent is 935 feet
I drove along Hwy 21/16 heading south past the parking area for the Glory Hole waterfall. I turned onto the CR on the left at coordinates 35.80925, -93.41796 and then drove to the parking area. There is an atv trail by the parking area that I first started hiking along but only hiked a little ways along it since the hollow was to my left pretty quickly. I took a left and started bushwhacking down the hills that were not very steep until I got close to the hollow. I reached the water at coordinates 35.78451, -93.40511. The hills got steeper as I worked my way down the hollow. I first came across 3 cascades before reaching WF 1. I took some photo's and marked them all before continuing on working my way down the hollow. I came across another 4 cascades while working my way down the hollow. At times, I had to either go over, under or around downed tree's. I eventually came to where I was above 2 waterfalls. One of the waterfalls is Taylor Hollow Falls. When you get down below them, Taylor Hollow falls is too the right. I took photo's and marked them both before moving on. I came across 2 more cascades before seeing some waterfalls up the hill to my left. I headed up the hill to the left to waterfalls 4, 5 and 6. After I took my photo's and marked all those, I headed back down to the hollow. If I had stayed in the hollow, I would have come to the top of Connell Mitchell falls, but because I was up the hill already, I found a way at coordinates 35.78534, -93.39975 to get down below it. I stayed there for awhile and took a break. I took photo's and a video while marking it before moving on. I was ready to keep moving on about 25 minutes later. I came across 6 more cascades while working my way down the hollow before I reached WF 8. I marked that and then kept hiking on. I soon came to a small drainage on my left and turned up to go explore up that. Just a little ways up that is where Curvature Bluff Falls 1 and 2 are. It is a nice area and I spent a good 20 minutes at them. I could not find a way to get above them there so I had to go back to the hollow and hike down it a little ways to find a hill on my left to hike up and get above the 2 waterfalls. I started heading up hill at coordinates 35.78548, -93.39657. I then looked at my gps and seen that I was high enough up the hill to be above the 2 falls so I headed down to the drainage at coordinates 35.78591, -93.39659. When I reached the drainage, I was at this neat area that I call the waterslide. I took some photo's and a video before moving on up the drainage. While working my way up the drainage, I came across 2 more cascades before reaching waterfall 11 and Ferris Falls. I spent some time there taking photo's and marking it. After I was done there, I decided to head back to the main hollow. I headed up the hill to my right when facing the falls at coordinates 35.78655, -93.39685 and headed back to the other 2 coordinates I provided and went back down into the hollow the way I went up to get up there. After I got back down into the hollow, I took a left and continued working my way down the hollow. I came across another 7 cascades while working my way down. I eventually looked at my gps and seen that it was time to take a left and head up hill to cut over to the drainage I was going to explore and use to get myself back up to the parking area. I started heading up the hill at coordinates 35.78121, -93.38765. I ended up going up at an angle to the right a little too much and ended up over the private property line just a little bit. I was trying to get to the easier hills before I took the left to go further up the hills. I ended up working my way up the hills to coordinates 35.78276, -93.38731 and then worked my way down into the drainage from there while making sure I stayed away from the private property. After I got down into the drainage, I started working y way up it and came across 5 cascades first before reaching waterfall 13. I took some photo's and marked the falls before moving on. It was getting later in the day now and I started moving faster. I came across 3 more cascades. After those, I kept working my way up the drainage but there was nothing else to see so I started working my way up the hills to my left at coordinates 35.78743, -93.39161. I worked up way up the hills to reach the old road at coordinates 35.78907, -93.39418. I then hiked along that back to the gravel road that I drove in on. Once I got back to the gravel road, I took a left onto that and hiked back to my car.
